Now or Later

Ah, the saga of the straws at our home. The eldest halfing was sitting on the couch screaming for her shake and then multiplying the volume by 5 that she wanted to pick out her own straw. Jeez. Kids, here's a secret.....they are all the same. Just different colors.

She goes to pick out a straw and there are only two peach ones left and both are stretched out and bent. Thus, halfing fit #3 ensues. For real kid? So, I smoosh up the straw like new and she instantaneously stops the fit and drinks her shake.

As I walk away, I'm thinking, "Would you like me to beat you now or later?" (No, I don't seriously beat my kids). All that energy wasted for a damn straw.

Amazing what they lock onto, isn't it? Cenzo MUST be covered with BOTH blankies at nap time or he'll whine up a storm, and not take a nap. Little bugger.

yes, colored straws. "I want blue! No, I called blue first! No you didn't, I wanted blue first..." God forbid they each have their own darn blue straw.

sigh...it's always something.

Reminds me of statement my sister made early on in her parenting days that I never forgot - "I understand why some animals eat their young!"...lets just say I've thought to that on many occassion -feel your pain!
